  • One Bill for Everything: X Bundles Grok, Cursor and Premium Into a Single Subscription

If you pay for more than one of Elon Musk's products, your billing page just got simpler. On October 12, the company announced The X Subscription, a single plan that brings together the Grok AI assistant, the Grok Bot agent tools, the Cursor coding platform and X Premium under one monthly bill.

The company laid out four paid tiers for individuals. Plus costs 8 dollars a month and includes Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, access to the Grok API and Cursor for coding. On the X side, Plus subscribers get the familiar Premium perks: a checkmark, fewer ads in the timeline, creator tools and advanced analytics. Premium, at 30 dollars a month, adds Grok Bot, the latest Grok models, faster chat responses and AI image and video generation. Cursor gains code hosting, cloud agents and automations at that level, while X itself becomes ad-free with the option to claim a preferred handle. The 100-dollar Super tier adds priority access to Grok models at peak times, and the 200-dollar Ultra tier promises the earliest access to new products and models, with 20 times the usage capacity of Plus.

The detail that matters most for heavy users is the shared usage pool. Paid plans include an allowance of Grok model usage that is shared across Grok and Cursor, whether you are chatting in the Grok apps, using the Grok tab on X, or coding. According to the company, each new tier offers more usage per dollar than the plan it replaces, and each plan includes at least twice as much coding usage with its own models as the comparable Cursor plan.

There are catches worth knowing before you switch. Third-party AI models used inside Cursor are not covered by the pool; on Premium and above they are billed separately at API list prices through top-ups. Existing SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium subscribers can keep their current plans, pricing and features if they prefer. Those who switch get a prorated refund for unused time on the old plans, which are cancelled at checkout. Reporting based on the company's subscription documentation says the switch is permanent and cannot be reversed, so it pays to check which accounts you are combining first.

The plan is available to new customers now, with the company saying it will reach everyone globally over the next few days. Team versions of the Premium, Super and Ultra tiers are also offered, and enterprise customers get separate, customized arrangements.

For everyday X users, the practical takeaway is simple: the checkmark, fewer ads and creator tools now come packaged with the AI products, rather than sold separately. Whether the bundle saves you money depends on how many of those products you were already paying for.
